Spending a lazy Sunday catching up on TV with the hubby and critters.... Our beagle mix, Grissom, has camped out on my lamp and I couldn't resist snapping a pic with my phone....
Enjoy your Sunday!

Textured Ornaments

There are two ornaments in the article; one being kind of funky and the other being a little more traditional in my opinion. The sneak peek of the ornament to the left is what I consider a more traditional ornament. You can check out a preview of this article at the link either above or on my blog's sidebar.
Be sure to preview the other articles in the October issue. There are phenomenal painted projects, a gorgeous bracelet, and a really cool ornament by Kelly Hoernig! :)

Work in progress....
I have been working on my November article for the Pixelated Palette and let me tell you, I had a hard time with it. My boss gave me a paper mache journal and wanted me to use it in the magazine....I have had that journal for almost 2 months and have had a complete block on what to do with it! I finally looked at my Tim Holtz paper, some metal and paper embellishments, and a little paint and came up with something....There's even a little sparkle to it!! ;)
Here's a sneak peek of November's article...
To see more, be sure to check out November's Pixelated Palette, out on 11/17!!

Hallow's Eve Tea

All courses are served with a tea service, including china cups, plates, and saucers. (My British family would say it's rather 'posh'. LOL)
One of my favorite things about the teas is that all the hostesses are dressed in period attire. They even act like it is the Victorian era. Case in point, my cousin asked one of the hostesses if they had Sweet-in-Lo and the hostess replied 'I do not know what that is madam.' LOL
Can't wait until the Christmas tea!! :)

First time published....
I was fortunate enough to get published for the first time in a new e-zine called the Pixelated Palette. The e-zine features mainly decorative painting articles with a touch of mixed media and craft projects.

The article is on an Autumn-themed altered burlap canvas and features lots of ink and texture.
I absolutely LOVE the new Texture Paste from Ranger and how easy it is to use!! And the best thing about it is that it takes ink really well!
I'm very excited and honored to be featured in this e-zine with such amazing and gifted artists!
Be sure to check out the e-zine by clicking on the link above or on the image in the sidebar... The September issue is free to all and subscriptions are only $12 a year! Check it out!!!

New blog....
I tried this a few years back and ended up not being very good at it....I'm going to give it another go. If I am successful, you'll find posts about my dabbling in ink, my travels and adventures, books I have read, and maybe just a tidbit about my personal life.
So here's to a new blog start....hopefully...
